Funny old day today.
Amelie's lip is still pretty sore looking but she seems absolutely fine and is eating as normal. Personally I would have been put off eating...
She woke up in a great mood and just ran off to get dressed and play. Isaac crawled after her so I got five minutes extra in bed before having to get up.
Whilst Amelie was at nursery, Isaac had a second nap which I didn't expect him to have. I managed to get a few things done before I had to wake him to get Amelie. Including drinking a hot cup of tea, my first of the day, and booking our Eurotunnel for April. Passports next!
Somehow I managed to loose my iPhone between the flat and the door downstairs. I checked my pocket as I left and, at the time, presumed I hadn't brought it. So when I got home and it wasn't in the flat I panicked. Checked "find my phone". 'Device is offline' Noooooo! What?! Flapped about, looked outside, got a building maintenance man to ring it (the thought hadn't occurred to me as I didn't think I knew my number, turns out I do), flapped more, checked bushes etc outside, became convinced somebody had stolen it, got another resident to ring it....eventually went back inside and decided to ring it again with house phone. Couldn't hear it but Amelie and Isaac were making loads of noise. I lift Isaac and put him in the cot so I can concentrate....and there it was. My phone. In the cot. Panic over! I had to phone the people back to say I had found it and admit my silly mistake.
Isaac has a new laugh and I have noticed he has been laughing at loads of things, really purposefully. I'm not sure if that's what I mean, but it's like he's got a proper little sense of humour. He is more aware of things that he can do that are funny. All the way to nursery he had his toy kiwi (from auntie Jan and Uncle James), I would ask "Where's Mr Kiwi?" And he would hold him up laughing. Today he has also been practicing walking with the walker, doing lots of free standing and he even helped me Hoover...walking along pushing the Hoover behind me. A bit different from his sister who was scared of the Hoover!
Also today I found a picture Amelie had drawn of a spider in her notebook. It was very clearly a spider, I loved it. And she ate cous cous for dinner. Plain, of course.
