Stripy scarves optional.
As has been the theme for my week, today has very much been a make it up as I go along type of day.
I began with a trip to Spitalfields & Shoreditch. It is an area of contrasts; looming office buildings on one road, quirky shops & eateries around the corner and an entire street of curry houses over the way. It is certainly somewhere I will return to in the future.
After a walk through Bishopsgate (more towering office buildings - I felt rather small!) it was over the Thames for a wander along the South Bank, ready to cross back again for some final theatre fun.
Once was first on the agenda. There are many words that I could use, however I will leave it at saying that as a fan of the film I was very pleased, I had to buy myself chocolate afterwards and am not entirely sure whether I would want to watch the film again - for fear of spoiling the effect. Just wonderful.
Then dinner with Cam ready to head together to Shakespeare In Love (our friendship really is based on more than food!). A very different show compared to Once but also brilliant.
After a slight crossing of wires (it is a wonder that I have got to this point in the week intact!) we were joined by Ruth for a final session of joyful London wanderings; a very lovely way to bring to close a wonderful week.
Just a final few hours to enjoy tomorrow morning before I am Edinburgh bound once more, where #Scotstorm awaits!
