Stick Insect

This little guy was on our tent as we went to pack up to head back to Melbourne. I think that Miles was a bit confused about what it was!

The drive back was uneventful - the thermometer topped 40 degrees, so we were happy for the aircon in the car, but even that struggled a little at times. We'd also hoped to catch some friends at Cape Conran on the way back and did a 2-hour detour but they'd already left by the time we got there.

Arriving home in the evening, we had the amazing surprise that Kat, Emma and Tim, who had been staying in our absence, had painted our garden fence!! We'd started it a few months back but it's a pig of a job and we just hadn't had time to finish it. Amazing.
