Water Babies
Backblip
Today we set off quite early for the Peninsula hot springs. We'd heard that you needed to book (which we hadn't done), so didn't really expect to be allowed in and we were surprised when they took our cash and pointed through the turnstyle. It was really great, a collection of about 20 different thermal baths at differing locations and temperatures. Unfortunately we didn't plan it too well with Miles' nap and Gina and I left after only an hour so that The Little Goblin could get some shut eye.
We went into Rye for a coffee and some food - we were both feeling in need of some sustainance after a somewhat heavy rum-and-fairground-ride-fuelled night out last night, courtesy of babysitters Steve and Sarah. We really feel pampered now and have made a new year's resolution to take people up on their offers to look after Miles more often (even if just for an hour).
Then our friends Venice, Jules and their daughter Ramona (pictured in the amazing pink unicorn) came and met us and we spent the afternoon at the beach with the two water babies until they went for their afternoon naps. It was a great, relaxing day, and culminated in a feast of homemade beer and mustard burgers cooked on the barbie combined with pretty much all of our leftovers from the week! Tomorrow we set off back home to Melbourne in preparation of life starting again!
