Mai Chau

We have moved to Mai Chau,  a beautiful area with mountains and terraced rice paddies.   Only problem is that we can't see them as its thick fog and pouring with rain.  Oh yes,  did I also say it's cold.

It is forecast to be like this until we fly down to Hue and Hoi An on Sunday.  The weather here is then going to turn hot and sunny but we won't be here to see it unfortunately.   However, where we are going is forecast to be wet and cold all next week.   It really is very disappointing and not what we expected.

On the way here today the clutch burnt out on the car we were in.  Luckily a replacement taxi was found fairly quickly.

This view is of a lake at the back of our hotel.  The rain had briefly stopped.
