A Fallen Arbor
My back door arbor fell down in the wind and the cold we had night before last. I went out on the back porch and went "Oh my God-, my arbor has fallen. The man who built my arbor was not my trusty woodsman, Billy, but a man who made furniture for a shop I used to have things in called Simply Put. John made some lovely things but di not know much about outdoor pieces and I told him what I wanted and he brought it and installed it and it went along fine for several years until the posts rotted. And then the weight of the roses and the wind took it down. Luckily it didn't tear the rose plants right out of the ground. My dear friend Billy will come and set new posts in the ground and fix it upright again properly. So disaster is averted. I was thinking I would have to tear it all down and cut the roses back and start all over. But I think it can all be salvaged. I so appreciate my skilled and talented friend. I call him Sweet William! So when it is finished, it will be a future blip. The back door looks so bare to me without it!
