Flame Vine (Pyrostegia venusta)

The flame vine is a showy and very aggressive vine which grows in Florida and has eye catching winter flowers. I drive by this fence every day and often admire the brilliant orange flowers. They don't seem to be affected by the cold at all and are very beautiful. They can take over a fence or building if allowed to run free! They are not often sold in nurseries in our area, probably due to their invasive nature. But they sure are dramatic!
