Spinach frittata
Another gorgeous day at Torreantica.
The sun came out and the weather finally got warm. I battled riotous olive branches all day, clamoring up trees, sawing, cutting, clearing and getting quite cut up and sweaty in the process.
Still though, the honesty of simple physical work feels lovely sometimes in this age of keyboard jobs and virtual realities. It makes me feel satisfied and accomplished, as though I earned my meal.
So without any guilt I jumped into the usual delicious fare from Pino's wife. This afternoon - spinach frittata with penne drenched in the farm olive oil and shaved pecorino cheese. Ah sigh* Italy...
