Swirls of Green

On a hot day like today the Taylor Dam was a very good place to visit.  Fergus the dog and I walked in mixed shade and bright sunshine around the perimeter of the Taylor Dam Reserve.  It was wonderful in the shade of the large trees.  I find there is always something cooling about being near water on a hot day.

There was a family of Australasian Coots pottering around in the shade on the water of the lake.  Most had disappeared by the time I lined up the camera but these two little fellas were having fun making patterns as they swirled around on the surface of the lake.
