Chinese brush painting class

Today, I got up early to make the trip downtown to join a Chinese watercolour painting class. It was well worth the subway trip. I loved it! It was a little more difficult than I imagined as the paper isn't very absorbent, the inks are different and the brushes have long soft bristles which I found difficult to control. However, I am pretty pleased with my first attempt. My classmates were nice and the teacher has just graduated with a masters in Chinese watercolour painting so I think I can learn a lot.
I will definitely be back :-)
