Flying the flag

Thanks to all of you who played my little game yesterday:-)
Yes, most of you figured it out, we planned, researched and booked our next holiday.......Lake Garda, in June! The italian ingredients were just to help pinpoint our chosen location, although I could quite fancy a culinary lesson whilst we are there :-)

After a dull and very windy start today, the clouds have broken, to give us at least some sunshine!

Hub still not 100% and didn't fancy getting blown to kingdom come, so I took myself off for an "assisted" walk along the canal! I set off, resembling "nanook of the north" with my camera around my neck, it helped keep my hood up too!

I did see quite a few similarly clad dog walkers, but not many souls out walking, it was soooo windy, it was hard to hand the camera steady!

I thought a shot of the canal, rippling as the wind gusted, might make a good blip, but I wasn't too impressed with those shots.

This image that I've settled on belies the skies, it certainly wasn't clear blue, there were plenty of big threatening looking shower clouds scudding across, but just not when I took this! I wanted a blip that reflected today's weather........I think it's safe to say that Union Jack is definitely flying high!
