Cold

We spent last night all snuggled up in the living room, where the open fire kept us relatively warm. In the rest of the house it was that cold we could see our breath. We had a candle lit pub quiz for two, using a quiz book that Michael got for Christmas - it was actually a really good night - eating takeaway food, drinking, chatting and listening to music (so glad to have had a fully charged laptop!). We stayed in bed a long while this morning, keeping warm under two duvets and a quilt, then eventually got up and drove into town to get supplies and charge my phone a bit. I took the blip on the way back over from town. The power eventually came back on at 9:30pm this evening. After 46 hours without electricity it was a relief to get some warmth through the house and have a long, hot bath. A lot of places on the island are still without power, including the main part of our village, so we are lucky to be back online this evening.
