Wassail
After goodness knows how long, I thought I'd give blipping another go - even if it's just an occasional thing.
I'm studying for a degree in photography, and during this course and a previous HND I've been encouraged to put my photos on the web.
Anyway, Stroud revived the traditional wassail this weekend and what a wacky, colourful, fun-packed affair it was, too.
My tutors prefer me to use prime lenses, and this was taken with a 50mm f1.4 lens on a Nikon D800.
To be honest, there were times during the wassail when I would have preferred a longer lens - even a zoom (don't tell my tutors!) - but I concentrated on getting close-up candids of people, plus detail shots.
This 50mm is a beatiful lens - probably my favourite of the ones I own. You just have to get used to using your feet to position yourself for the shot you want.
