The new pavilion progresses

I went down to the cricket club today to see the work as it progresses towards our new pavilion. The progress is quite staggering. You will see that on 12.11.14 the old pavilion, parts of which have been there since 1903 was still standing though it had been stripped back to what it would have looked like before the war.

Shortly after this pic was taken, the final demolition was completed and the ground works commenced. The second pic taken on 12.12.14 shows how the drains and footings are all in place and the foundations are being laid.

So just a month on from that and including christmas and new year the new walls of the exterior are fast going up. It's an exciting if nerve wracking time at the club as we progress towards what we hope will be a pavilion for another 100 years at least and that the money in place lasts to complete the job to the highest of standards.
