To brighten the day

It's been another grey, dark day with lots of wind and rain. I have not ventured out, but have been designing the cover for the next walking festival programme.  When I show the possibilities to the others, there are mixed opinions about which to use!  It is not possible to please everyone, but that's hard.

I bought a bunch of tulips last week, attracted by the intense jewel colours.  They are opening up now, so I decided to return to my "studio" for today's shot.  They brightened the day. 

I decided just to use one yellow tulip with the contrasting purple one as a backdrop. I have used 4 images, combined in a focus stack to keep the yellow one sharp and leave the purple one out of focus.
