at home with an Ivysaurus

This cake looks funny....

Ivy has always been very impressed with food out of a packet. We used to trick her into eating things we'd made, by putting them in empty baby food jars. I decided to test how far this love went by letting her see the lettuce come out of it's packet- she did give it a good shot before realising the wraps Euan and I were eating looked better.

Weather has been so wild here we didn't go to gaelic toddlers this morning, but Ivy had a rough night since she has a stuffed up nose so needed the long lie anyway. We did some baking in the afternoon- attempted Viennese biscuits- I'm going to make more of an effort to do Friday afternoon baking with Ivy, she loves it and it's teaching her to count. She now says 'tuuuu' after 'one' and I think she's got three too, but it sounds an awful lot like tuu, so i'm not totally sure. She got over enthusiastic with adding flour to the mix so it didn't really form a dough, so I added water till it looked right which meant they didn't really pipe. Ivy thought they tasted okay though- she kept asking for one by blowing to indicate cooking and pointing to the kitchen.
