Interchangeable

These wood block drawings of pioneer women were made in three parts: the head, the torso, and the skirt. You could rearrange them much like changing clothes on paper dolls. Then the artist made rubbings of them on cloth which she hung by tiny clothes pins nearby. Part of an exhibit called Oregon's Painted History.
