Dark Wood

With a very inclement weather forecast I had an early walk in Parkhurst Forest where the wind already up to gale force was swaying the trees around in an alarming manner. 

Wondering whether I had made the right decision with broken twigs and branches flying through the air I headed for a more sheltered spot to take a couple of pictures before beating a hasty retreat. It didn't seem to be bothering a couple of  dog walkers I passed though.

Overnight we had gales and continuous rain but today so far is clear sunny, and very mild.
