Life with Alice

Ducky

I got this toy for Christmas, and today he wanted to be in a picture. We had to bring him outside and prop him up in the playground, because he is stuffing free and doesn't sit very well on his own. Instinct of self preservation, the stuffing free part, mum says. She also claims he might in fact be a she, but I don't agree. All my playmates are boys.

As today is the twentieth day of Knut, we went to a "julgransplundring", geocaching style. Mum looked it up, not Google but in a proper dictionary, and found no word for it. It said "a children's party after Christmas when the Christmas tree is stripped of its decorations". I've never been to one before.

We headed out into the forest and found a bunch of geocachers with headlamps putting up lights and decorations in a real tree, so that they could take them down an hour later. Weird. The two other geodogs we know were there, and guess what? There were marshmallow Santas! I got a few tiny pieces since it's my favourite. Completely ruining my grain free diet :-) I even consented to wearing my Santa hat for a while. Some people logged my dog tag, which was nice. We chatted with altopiano, whom I know, and had a really good time.
