The Snow Cat
Winter is coming back and temperatures are dropping. The snow that had started to melt and is now heavily packed is freezing on top, making it very difficult to walk on for me, because it just cracks under my paws with every step I take. I stayed mostly on the path through the sheep meadow, it was still enjoyable. And I was allowed to play fetch with mum's gloves!
Coming back, we went to check on the snow cat who was still standing, even after having partly melted yesterday. Mum says artic cold is coming our way, so the cat may survive and be without a poodle to compete with it for at least the next couple of days.
We went to my very good friend B for coffee. It was a long time ago now that we were there. I was ecstatic, beginning to howl when we were still out in the stairway, waiting for the door to open! I had a wonderful time, got lots of cuddles and shrimp-ham-liver pâté treats. Toward the end there was a small near-debacle situation involving a chocolate cake on a kitchen table, which was extremely tempting indeed, but other than that, I stayed on the straight narrow and everyone was happy.
