Rata

There was a cloud cover first thing, but the lake was still a pretty busy place to be, because there was no wind to speak of.  This is not a majestic specimen of a Rata bush, but it adds a bit of colour to an otherwise dull day.  I have played 3 games of croquet, 1 up, 2 down, in cool ideal conditions.

We had an earthquake at 12.40 last night.  It was 5.5 and felt like 3 people were jumping on my bed!  It wasn't close, it was 78 k's out to sea near Te Anau.
