Watching the footie

We wake up and the sun is shining ... nice to know they get the weather reports wrong here too!

We spend the morning finding our way around and checking out different hotels.  Ours is ok but we think its a little overpriced (all of 500 Baht a night!) and the lady running it says we're in a superior room and are not being charged as much as the usual room rate.  After wandering all morning we decide that if we can get the room at the same rate, we'll stay as none of the other places we liked had availability.  She reluctantly agrees so we book another couple of nights.

Chiang Mai is well known for its food and we've already had some nice Thai food today.  We spot an Indian place so head in there for dinner.  After dinner we go to the pub to watch the footie.  Man City are playing Everton (1-1) and Chelsea are playing Newcastle (2-0) so we watch different screens in the same pub.  This pic shows heads turned in all directions.  The commentary is Man City first half and Chelsea second half.  There is a Chelsea fan sitting on his own near the front who has some form of Chelsea tourettes and he's shouting most of the way through ... funny.
