Snowy Owl
Once again the forecasters got it right and I woke to about 10 inches of snow outside. This delightful owl is actually a wood carving I bought a few years ago and it greets me every morning as I open the back door to let the dogs out.
It was a yoga morning and as there was no email cancelling the session my friend and I togged our waterproofs and trudged through the deep snow with our mats and blankets safely covered with large plastic bags. We must have looked a sight as the snow was falling quite heavily as we made our way to the meeting room - and to our relief the class was on although only a handful intrepid walkers had been able to make it. Then, in the afternoon, the same friend and I gathered up our dogs and kitted ourselves out again to meet the weather. My friend's husband had their retriever, Brodie, my friend took Bruce and I had Cara as there was no way I could handle them both along the slippery snow covered paths. The dogs had a ball and frolicked for an hour on the local golf course and the funniest moment was when Bruce hurtled himself back from quite a distance away, ears flapping, snowballs on his little legs as he ploughed through the deep snow. He will do anything for a biscuit. More snow is forecast tonight but as yet it is still and cold. Hope everyone keeps warm, especially in the snow covered areas.
