Low key day visiting a tailor who put a new zip in my down waistcoat for Rs50 (about 60p) and looking for material for two friends to  have nightwear copied.  Then while the waistcoat was being done I walked up the marble cutters road and back via the haberdashers, saree shops and the halal butchers' row.  Everywhere were the remains of yesterday's kite festival, my feet getting tangled in the threads and lots of people were flying them again today for the wind was stronger.  At least I didn't get caught in the illegal Chinese thread which is so strong that many people finished up in hospital for cuts and bruises from being pulled over.  It probably wasn't the cause of people falling off roofs but 50 people are in government hospitals and they haven't counted those in private clinics.  The evening finished off with flights of chinese lanterns and lots of fireworks

Spent more time horizontal this evening and have another session tomorrow, then I'm off to Udaipur by bus - all day journey so there may not be a blip tomorrow.
