Built like a tank

Spent today with Porsche, driving the newly updated Cayenne 4x4. It meant a three hour trek through rotten weather and horrendous traffic to Silverstone, where the Porsche Performance Centre was our venue for the day, but it was worth it.

We drove several versions of the Cayenne on the road, on a snakey little test track, under skid pan conditions that simulated sheet ice, and on an off-road course. It was an interesting and entertaining day.

On the road route we found this rugged ex-army tank at a farm that is home to a collection of similar military vehicles that are used for specially themed corporate days and stag parties. Not quite what you expect to find in the Northamptonshire countryside!
