Daily Break
Well, it was either that or going down the pub. And as there was driving involved during the afternoon and evening, I went for the safer option.
So a return to Totton and a visit to Arrosto once more. There are many options open now, but just like the pub, you tend to get drawn to your favourite. In the case of the pub, it's usually a combination of the beer you prefer and company.
Much the same goes with espresso only this time it's the combination of the taste of the coffee and company. And yes, there is a difference in taste and flavour, from one brand to another, the level of roast of the coffee beans, and of course the manner in which it is served.
Call me finicky in my old age, but I know which coffee taste I prefer, and those places where I am not desperately keen to call back.
It's a long way removed from the little town where I had my first job. At that time there were two coffee shops; one of them had a juke box which at the time seemed a novelty. Don't remember much about the coffee, but perhaps that's enough said to be able to rate it. If it wasn't memorable, then it certainly wouldn't compare with today's offerings.
Bit nippy today though to try sitting outside for ten to 20 minutes to while away the time watching the world go by!
