Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 high Tide

After making a quick journey to southern California to attend our grand-daughter's wedding this past Monday, we decided to get back to the Central Coast, to Cayucos.

On the road, once we get through the traffic of metropolian Los Angeles and especially Pasadena, the scenery is quite enjoyable. At Ventura we see the Pacific Ocean and continue doing so until the road turns inland toward Buellton, Solvang, and Los Olivos, and there the agricultural views are amazing.

When the freeway signs begin to announce "San Luis Obispo" our excitement grows and soon we are turning toward the coast to Morro Bay and then north 4 miles to Cayucos.

As soon as we arrived this afternoon to our little beach shack and brought our things in from the car, we put leashes on the three dogs and headed to the sand to walk. The tide was getting high and the sandy shore was decreasing, but we managed a good walk and Mr. Fun caught this photo of me and Chloe. The winter storms have certainly churned the sand and brought lots of pebbles, shells, and sea glass onto the shore.

From California's Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
