A slice of Lesley's life

Smiles all round

The one we have been ignoring all week has finally had some attention today. She has been a complete star and totally uncomplainingly been passed from pillar to post and generally neglected by us. But a combination of both of us being at home and the boy making progress has made some room for her. Though what she gains in parents she may lose in being once more banned from her brother's room. A ban that has been temporarily lifted to allow visiting privileges.

So what of the boy? Well today he finally woke up symptom free to rapturous applause and much general whooping all round. (Well actually slightly muted whooping as ironically, though perhaps not surprisingly, I woke up on the precipice of a migraine). He's had a steady day of being up and being back in bed but amongst the highlights were some light piano playing - stuff his hands know without his brain joining in - that has made him very happy, some TV and a short visit from a school friend. We even made it out of the house. Didn't quite achieve the ambition of reaching the end of the road but we did make it to number 4 before he felt dizzy and we came back home. Slightly oddly what he said hurt most afterwards were his knees but that presumably that's through underuse. Also rather oddly he seems to have grown another inch during the week but perhaps that's a lack of all that spine compressing standing.

Anyway, enough rambling. As you can imagine we are all a little giddy with relief.

Happy Friday!
