In the Pink
My lovely old neighbour called to me at lunchtime today, and gave me this beautiful bunch of pink roses and tulips. I started to protest that she has no need to ..........
"Not a word"! she said.
The flowers are a thank you because I cleared her paths and got her shopping when the snow was bad. I was happy to do it, because along the road in Perth other people look out for my old Mum in the bad weather, and you know .... it's nice to be nice.
However, I did feel guilty, because yesterday was the 2nd Anniversary of her husband's death, and I really meant to take her flowers and spend a wee bit of time with her, but by the time I got home her lights were out.
I'm making a promise now, me and Ena are going out for coffee sometime soon.
