Paint Pot Angel!

What else could it be but a Banksy and so where else could I be but Bristol.

A long trip on the train as usual then took the bus to the city centre and walked up Park Street to the University area where I was to meet Grace for afternoon tea at Browns.

Next door is the Museum of Bristol. A good spot to pass a little time and to my delight I found that they had the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition on for just £2! It's 50 years since the BBC Wildlife Magazine was launched and they sponsor the photography competition and the museum (The BBC Wildlife unit is in Bristol). Some amazing work with a category for under 17's! My favourite was the winner of the Mammal section entitled 'The Moon, the Mouse and the Mosquito'. Impossible to describe but amazing, all backlit. An unexpected bonus to my trip!
Couldn't take photographs sadly but I did take this 'Paint Pot Angel' by Banksy in the entrance. Some years ago we were down here when the museum had a Banksy exhibition on and they were literally queuing around the block to get in!

After our lovely afternoon tea with fizz we headed back into the city centre and met John at Bristol Old Vic, a lovely little theatre in the heart of the oldest part of the city, to watch a wonderfully exuberant performance of 'Swallows and Amazons'. All the parts were played by adults with some brilliant improvisation for the boats etc.

Great afternoon and evening; worth the long journey!
