The Thousand Steps

Good walk through the forest in the Dandenong Ranges today with our intrepid tour company Scott and Kelly Nature Walks Pty.

We started with a walk up the thousand steps (there are actually about 750) but due to a signing mishap, ended up on a different path and did about 420. A bit of a hard slog for those of us that are not as fit!

We then had a walk through the forest, and saw a wallaby, lots of crimson rosellas, a kookaburra, some eastern yellow robins and no wombats.

Took the train back to the car from the end of the walk, and ended up having to buy a Myki card each just so we could travel - a grand total of $18! They don't do single tickets any more. :-(

Today was our last full day of the holiday, so we're out to dinner tonight on the seafront and then need to pack ready for our flight tomorrow afternoon.
