Watching paint dry

While I don't begrudge Mr A's job, I don't half miss him when he's not here!

I waved him off at 7.30 this morning, watching as he slid down the hill from home (once again the most treacherous part of his journey).
He got to London no problem and even reported blue skies and sunshine, so I could stop worrying!

It's still snowy and slushy here, so I decided to stay indoors, in my onesie and try and occupy my time alone.

We booked a weekend city break last night, for March; how hard was that when Mr A has been everywhere?! We finally settled on Riga, Latvia.
Part of today has been spent printing off the paperwork and researching Riga to see what we need to see while we are there.

It will be quite cold when we are there, so not the winter sun holiday I'd planned; but we are staying in a spa hotel so it will be nice to warm up in the jacuzzi and sauna after being outside during the day.

I've also cleaned the house, cleaned the oven, done my invoices until the year end and watched a couple of episodes of 'True Blood' which is something I've not seen in a while.

Last on the to do list was to clean my make up brushes.
After investing in some decent make up, I thought it only right to also invest in decent brushes; MAC again seem to be the leaders according to several forums I looked at, so I've bought the essentials for now and will add to them as and when I need to.

I read that with a bit of care and attention, they will last a long time.
I've been spot cleaning after every use (as recommended, especially for the foundation brush, pictured) with a spray product, but also did a deep clean today using baby shampoo!
For what they cost it's worth spending a few minutes keeping them clean :-)
