THE REED AT THE BIG POND

of the Heempark.
Another delightful day. The sun gracefully shone all day, an excellent incentive to make a long walk. I choose the parkroute and this ended in the Heempark, where I made my round. Always a great moment when one suddenly stands on the shore of the big pond. Sometimes there are so many waterbirds to see, but today they had travelled all elsewhere.
There are two benches, where one sits for a while. In summer hidden between the reed, but in winter the whole park shows a rather barren sight,

My haiku:

Rustle slowly reed
No haste for you as if your
Life depends on it

And the quote by Samuel Beckett in Waiting for Godot:

We are not saints, but we have kept our appointment. How many people can boast as much?
