Slow Roasted......
Shoulder of Lamb!!
A day to experiment today and I am happy to blip my slow roasted shoulder of lamb. A wonderful mix of herbs with the hero of the dish being Sumac (a middle eastern spice). Seven and a half hours in the oven at 130 degrees!!
Our friend from down the road agreed to come to dinner and test the product for me and I have to say there's not much left for lunch tomorrow.
Lunch tomorrow must be, (it's compulsory) - Fresh bread, thinly sliced lamb with beetroot and wait for it - vegemite. We would quite often meet Nanna and Grandad at the beach on a Sunday night for a picnic tea and My dear old Grandad Paddy used to make these delicious sandwiches as their contribution to the table. There was always a rush to make sure we didn't miss out on our share.
