Sunset

Another Clydeside sunset, with the outlines of Bute and, beyond that, Arran against the gold and then blue of the sky. In complete contrast with the end of last week, the sky has been more or less cloudless all day, so the actual sunset was a relatively straightforward affair, with no clouds to enhance the effect as it dipped below the hills. But it was still so beautiful that I felt another sunset photo was not only justified but necessary.

And then a heron flapped along the shoreline and completed the day.
