Basler Münsterplatz Weinachtsmarkt

I spent my last day in Basel before the holidays having one last wander around the Christmas markets before having dinner with an international student group. My shopping is pretty much finished so I wasn’t looking for any last minute gifts.

Day 19: Sometimes it’s nice to give gifts that people need. A new jacket, money, something else that’s more practical than nice stuff to put in the bath. God gives us a gift that we need most of all – salvation. Sometimes we give gifts to people out of obligation because they perhaps gave one to us. There is nothing we can do to repay or earn God’s gift of eternal life. He doesn’t need anything, he created everything! We merely accept it, believe it, embrace it and enjoy our new life to the fullest.
