Strings at the Watchnight Service

As I’ve mentioned before I’m usually a bit of a Scrooge during advent. That is until I get to the Watchnight service at my home church. It’s a wonderful evening full of carols accompanied by the “PBC Orchestra” – it’s the one occasion that everyone is home! I had the pleasure of leading the carols with Adam as we sang into Christmas day with the congregation.


December 24: Watchnight is one of those moments when everything comes into perspective again. All the other Christmas concerts and services are done. The shopping is finished and everything is prepared. Now is the time to fully focus on why we celebrate: God fulfilling his promise of a Saviour.
