It’s not Terry’s, it’s mine!
Merry Christmas to one and all. Christ the Saviour is born! Yes, over two thousand years ago but he was born for the people in BC times, and for us living in 2014. After a short service at church with a few more carols and a show-and-tell of the children’s Christmas presents it was a typical Christmas in our household with a yummy dinner, musical crackers causing hilarity and a good dose of Christmas TV.
Day 25: Piper makes the point in his last devotional that an account of the Christmas story may be absent in John’s gospel but the meaning of Christmas is still there. Christ came to earth as God revealing himself in human form. He died willingly for our wrong doings so that we can know God and have eternal life if we accept it. Read through the Gospels if you haven’t already, or at least watch this video. It explains why we Christians insist Jesus is still part of the season.
