It worked!

Shortly after writing yesterday's Blip, Nikki started to experience a few aches and pains. This quickly progressed into Nikki exclaiming 'These contractions are coming thick and fast'.

After a quick call to the midwife, we headed over to the Birth Centre. An hour and a half later Little Miss Pixel was born.

Weighing in at 8lb 10oz, both mum and baby are doing fine. The little cutie has ten fingers, ten toes but no name yet.

From the first twinge to the return home, the whole experience took less than twelve hours.

I must admit we were dubious about having a simple, non medicalised birth in the US but it turned out great. The midwives were brilliant and Nikki was incredible.

Well done on an all natural water birth!
