Fire! Fire!

Much excitement after the service today. People were chatting over coffee, collection was being counted and folk were just tucking into their hot lunch when the café shutters suddenly closed and the fire alarm sounded. We were all evacuated into the middle of the square.

Four fire engines duly arrived, crew entered the building.... and after several minutes three of the fire engines left. Shortly afterwards the all-clear was announced and the last vehicle departed, so we variously trooped back indoors to a cold meal or wandered off home, none the wiser.
No doubt all will be revealed next Sunday.
