Happy Hogmanay!

I planned to see in the New Year with a few close friends in Glasgow. This is my fellow chemist friend Aimée just before we tucked into some marvelous mac n cheese. It's been a while since we have all been together so we had a girly sleepover. Much fun was had watching movie musicals as we waited for midnight. It's the one night of the year where time passes so slowly. As students, staying up past midnight by accident is the norm!

We tried, and failed, to pop the champagne at exactly midnight but it echoed the anticlimax New Year usually is. There's so much hype around where you are and what you're doing. We had a great night in and its one of the best Hogmanays I have celebrated.
