The Nutshell, Bury St Edmunds

I was down in Suffolk again to see my mum who was on good form today. I had to go to her flat to pick a few things up and came through the Twon centre. I had a little walk around and remembered this fine pub, The Nutshell, so-called because of its slender size, reputedly the smallest pub in the UK. Here are some details about it:

Welcome to Britain's Smallest Pub - in Bury St Edmunds

With a bar that measures just 15ft by 7ft, The Nutshell proudly holds the title of smallest pub in Britain as confirmed in the Guinness Book of Records.

Located in the heart of the historic Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, The Nutshell has been proud to serve customers jostling for a place at the bar since it first started serving beer in 1867.

Now a major tourist attraction for local and worldwide visitors, The Nutshell continues the tradition of serving some of the regions finest ales, and providing a bar not just full of customers, but interesting historical items, photos and memorabilia.

This is such a late blip because I stopped off for dinner with some friends, hence just got home! Hope you all had a good weekend.
