Seeing red

Discovering all my bank cards had been cloned was a shock to me. More shocking was hearing how they did it. Thieves carry card readers in their pockets, pressing them up to your bag on the bus or against your jacket pocket on a crowded Tube.

They then 'launder' money by using cards to place bets at the bookies, taking any winnings in cash.
