bucks life

Sunny Monday

I got three and a half hours of solid drafting done before leaving work today. A good job well done, in spite of 'go slow' computer systems. Hmmm.

There were two unexpected excitements in work. The first, a homeless man was found sleeping on the first floor landing, having wandered in unseen, taken the lift up and then got stuck on the landing between key pad accesses! It is actually rather concerning in terms of general security around the place as the loos are off these landings and a more malicious person could lie in wait there.

The second was the engagement over the weekend of a colleague in my team who arrived with the most beautiful and blingy ring. Happy, lucky, girl!

Another excitement. On my way to Market Harborough for lunch I drove (slowly) past a hunt, which had found its way to the edge of a field parallel with the main road. The master was for some reason riding along the pavement along the main road rather than on the other side of the hedge with the rest of the hunt. It was a super sight, though rather odd on a Monday I thought. I can't remember the last time I spotted a hunt.

After a leisurely lunch it was head shrink time. An interesting session in which, amongst other things, we discussed my relationship with the shrink and how I see it. I said I was so pleased I'd stuck with the sessions as I am certainly seeing the benefits over the last four or five months in particular.

The mattress people called to say they'll be with me between 1.30pm to 3.30pm tomorrow. Let's see if they stick to that. The new bedding arrived today just in time too. Exciting.

Another quiet night tonight. I really need to do that ironing though. It's stacking up...
