First Barbecue
When I mentioned the possibility of firing up the barbecue for dinner tonight, Cynthia pointed out that the new stairs from the deck make the back yard more accessible, and suggested moving the barbecue to the patio. I've been keeping it in the garage and dragging it out onto the driveway to use it.
I thought C's idea was a good one, even though it was a a bit of struggle to drag the fire-breathing monster from its den and down the path around the side of the house. Removing the propane tank reduced the weight, which made it a little easier.
So dinner was a joint effort tonight. I grilled boneless chicken thighs and asparagus to go with Cynthia's new recipe she'd seen demonstrated at the Farmers' Market this morning -- Spring Asparagus Pistou, served on crostini. We washed it down with a nice French rosé. It was a good collaboration.
Here's a photo of the chicken and asparagus. Miss Annie was there to clean up if I dropped anything.
