'Flying Rice'

A really big day at work today. I had to be out at Berwick for an 8am site meeting at a college, followed by a visit to one of the schools other campuses in Keysborough to meet the new site foreman, answer his questions and measure up a few other areas of the school  that we've been asked to look at refurbishing. From there on to the college's third campus in Brighton to do a defects report on 4 classrooms that have been totally upgraded over the holiday period. Thankfully the builder has done an excellent job there which in turn makes my job much easier.

It's now after 2:30pm and I hadn't had any lunch or even a drink since I left home at 7am this morning. Driving back from Brighton to the office I stopped off in the city for some lunch and spotted these seagulls scoffing into some saffron rice that someone had left on a bluestone balustrade. The rice was flying, especially when there were about 8 or 9 gulls all trying to get in at the same time.

Back to the office to answer emails and send off the defects list for the builder to rectify before school starts back next week.

The other two projects also are supposed to be finished before next Thursday's start. We'll wait and see if they get there.
