Too much, too soon

Woke to hard frost today, and I went out to the garden to see what I could spot.

I've been worrying about the plants that have been budding in the unseasonably warm weather, and indeed, this poor rose has come a cropper now it's turned colder. This isn't the prettiest shot I took today, but it's the most poignant. (And it gives me an excuse to include a link to this wonderful song!) 

I also shot:
 - this frosted camellia
 - our mahonia, looking even more spikey than usual
 - <whatever this thing is>, with ice on it (sorry, my botanical knowledge is very limited!)
