MURAL

No more snow overnight but the slushy mess from yesterday's snowfall had frozen overnight and the paths were quite slippy.  I didn't fancy walking far so I got the bus to Newcastle.  Not a trace of snow there.

I decided to go to St James Park - home of Newcastle United Football Club and take a look at the mural which was unveiled in November last year.  I have been to the ground a few times since then to see a match but matchday isn't the best time to get near the mural.  There was no-one about today.  Fans were asked to submit a photo and over 2,000 were chosen to appear.  My photo is on there - just above the red flag. The mural measures six-metres by two-metres  and is a tribute to the Newcastle fans who support the Club through thick and thin.

I popped into the Club shop but didn't buy anything.  Then I walked back into the centre of town and did some food shopping.

Our local newspaper is running a series of stories about people in the area who have lost weight.  My slimming club consultant suggested I fill in the form and tell my " weight loss story ".  So I did.  And my story was included in tonight's gallery.
