Frozen Loch

Went for a drive to Loch Clunie this afternoon and was astonished to see it almost completely frozen over!  The ice must be quite thick too, as someone had thrown chunks of wood on it to see if it would break - which it didn't:-)  It gives an indication of just how cold it is in spite of the sunshine.

Not a bird to be seen anywhere on the loch, but I did see one yellowhammer in the garden this morning!
