Pushing through

This is the first snowdrop appearing in the garden. As you can see we still have a layer of snow although it is now frozen. The temperature rose above 2 degrees today and it was pleasantly warm in the sun.
The pheasant has made a return to the garden and has been raking about eating the seeds.
I was amazed yesterday to see two blue tits having massive a fight. I had been watching them chasing each other through the trees and then saw them tumble to the ground, beaks and feet locked and rolling about in the snow. This went on for at least 5 minutes until they released and flew off. It looked quite vicious for such a tiny bird.
Had a goldcrest in the garden today as well :)
